Corinne + Ali

This was one INCREDIBLE wedding! Corrine and Ali said, “I do” at a beautiful, intimate ceremony at St Joseph’s Guest House in the Hawkesbury river area yesterday. The clouds cleared and the sun shone for this amazing couple that have lived together their entire relationship. Corrine and Ali met while living in a share house at university. For the first year of living together they barely said a word to each other, mostly because Ali, who is originally from Iran, couldn’t speak English. After a holiday in each other’s company friendship flourished and four years later they’ve tied the knot.

The entire wedding was organized, styled, and created by the couple. The bride and groom and their family lovingly made everything from the food, wedding cake, ice cream and table settings to the bride’s bouquet and decorations. Even the honey served on the slate platters (made by the bride’s father) with cheese was harvested from their own beehives. This honey was also used during the ceremony where the couple observed a Persian wedding tradition in which the bride and groom each dip one pinky finger in a cup of honey and feed it to one another.

We wish you both the best of luck with your future together and enjoy your honeymoon in Mexico!
